The IKA RC 5 basic is a robust recirculating cooler designed for external cooling tasks down to -30°C. Equipped with a climate-friendly R290 refrigerant and a digital temperature control system utilizing PID regulation, it ensures precise temperature stability of ±0.2K. The unit features a 7L high-quality insulated tank, an integrated filling funnel, and a drain valve for safe fluid handling. Its variable-speed PEEK pump (0.6 bar; 31L/min) allows for infinite indirect regulation of pressure and flow rate. The device offers excellent temperature consistency, energy efficiency with 1400W cooling capacity at 20°C, and flexible operation over a broad temperature range (-30°C to 80°C). Safety features include visual and audible alarms for over- and under-temperature conditions. Interfaces include RS232 and USB connections, facilitating remote monitoring and integration. Compact and easy to maintain, the RC 5 basic supports demanding cooling applications in laboratory environments with a footprint of 310×546×490 mm and a weight of 37.5 kg.
