The IKA RV 8 V is a manual basic rotary evaporator designed for chemical, pharmaceutical, and bioindustry applications. It features a 4-liter water/oil heating bath with integrated safety lift for power failures, a vertical glass condenser with efficient cooling surface of 1500 cm², and a clear digital display for rotation speed and bath temperature control. It includes a locking mechanism with a red indicator for unlocked vapor outlet, a manually adjustable immersion angle, and an easy-to-use manual lift operable with one hand for both left and right-handed users. The rotator operates within a speed range of 5-300 rpm, with an adjustable temperature from ambient to 180°C, and ensures user safety with 24V low-voltage components. The condenser mount has an integrated quick-release mechanism for easy glassware exchange, and the unit is compatible with all IKA RV 10 glassware. Compact design, robust construction, and optimized cooling efficiency make it ideal for distillation, solvent recovery, and research laboratories.
