The IKA VOL-SP-2.1-S spindle is designed for direct screw attachment to viscometers, replacing traditional hooks. This spindle, used in combination with the VOL-C-RTD-2.1 chamber, prevents eccentric run behavior common with hook-mounted spindles. It is tailored for testing stiff, poorly flowing samples such as pastes, asphalt, syrup, and resins. The geometrical design includes a cylinder with a M2.5 left-handed thread, an integrated hook coupling, and dimensions optimized for sample sizes up to 2.1 ml. Made from stainless steel 1.4404, it supports working temperatures up to 100°C. The spindle features a diameter of 8.7 mm, immersion depth of 19.5 mm, and length of 95.8 mm. It includes a flow chamber and holder, ensuring precise, repeatable viscosity measurements within a broad range from 585.8 mPa.s to 10,000,000 mPa.s. Compact and lightweight at 0.013 kg, suitable for laboratory high-viscosity testing applications. Designed for compatibility with ROTAVISC viscometers, providing accurate, reliable measurements for challenging samples.
