Nalgene Oak Ridge PPCO centrifuge tube, with a 30 ml nominal capacity, features a round bottom for optimal centrifugation stability. Made from polypropylene copolymer (PPCO), it offers high mechanical strength and chemical resistance superior to polycarbonate. Equipped with a silicone-sealed PP cap, it ensures leak-proof operation, especially at speeds exceeding 10,000 x g, and is suitable for hazardous substances. The tube is designed for use in cooled and uncooled centrifuges, withstanding centrifugal forces up to 50,000 x g; the cap can be used up to 100,605 x g. Autoclavable multiple times, making it ideal for laboratory applications requiring sterilization. Each unit weighs 0.007 kg, providing a robust and reliable component for sample processing and reagent handling in life sciences and clinical laboratories.
