SCAT Safety Waste Caps are hermetic sealing caps designed for safe disposal of liquid HPLC waste such as solvents, acids, and alkalis. Made of electrically conductive PTFE, these caps incorporate PFA fittings of 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm outer diameters, ensuring secure connections to waste lines. The included PP tube connector accommodates inner diameters from 5.0 to 11.5 mm, facilitating versatile use with different tubing setups. A GL14 connection allows integration with exhaust filters equipped with three layers of activated carbon, which adsorb vapors from solvents, acids, and alkalis, enhancing safety by neutralizing hazardous emissions. These caps provide pressure equalization, maintaining safety standards during waste disposal and ensuring compliance with occupational safety requirements in laboratory environments.
